Hoolai Games (“Company”, “we”, “us” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy. This policy describes ways we collect, store, use, and manage the information, including personal information (such as you name, email address, telephone number and other information) that you provide or we collect in connection with our websites, including www.hoolaigames.com (the “Sites”), any Company mobile game (sometimes referred to as an “App”) provided on a mobile platform (for example, iOS and Android), or any communication platforms relating to our mobile games, including third party social networking websites (collectively, the “Service”).
This policy applies only to information we collect or receive through your use of the Service.
We are not responsible for the actions of third parties, the content of their sites, the use of information you provide to them, or any products or services they may offer. Any link to those sites in the Service does not constitute our sponsorship of, or affiliation with, those third parties.
Information Collection and Use
The Company collects information as described below. We collect your information primarily for the purposes of creating your account, providing the Service to you, improving the Service, conducting research, contacting you and creating internal reports. We store information on servers located in the United States and may store information on servers and equipment in other countries as well.
While you are browsing Sites, your computer’s operating system, Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, access times, browser type and language and referring Web site addresses may be logged automatically. We may use this information to monitor, develop and analyze your use of the Service. In addition, we may request and process data that is personal to you in order to create a user profile and provide you services. This information may include, without limitation, your name, gender, age or birthday, links to your profiles on social networking websites and other third party sites, user names and e-mail and mail addresses. We may use your email address to contact you about your experience with the Service and inform you about Company news and promotions. Your gender and birthday may be used to analyze user trends and target certain promotions.
You may be able to take part in activities on our Sites or Apps that give you the opportunity to communicate and share information, including blogs, messaging or chatting, or community forums. You should be aware that any information you provide in these areas may be read, collected, and used by others who access them.
We may record and store archives of these communications to protect the safety and well-being of our users and to protect the Company’s rights in connection with the Service. You acknowledge and consent to the recording and storage of such communications for these purposes.
If you choose to use Facebook or Twitter to use our blog or community forums, the information you provide is tied to your Facebook account or Twitter account, as the case may be. You will need to contact Facebook and/or Twitter directly in order to request removal of personal information from such blog or community forum.
When you use an App on a mobile platform, we may collect and record certain information such as your hardware type, unique device ID, international mobile equipment identity (“IMEI”), Media Access Control (“MAC”) address, the version of your operating system, your device name, your telephone number, your email address, and your location (based on your IP address). This information is useful to us for troubleshooting and helps us understand usage trends. In addition, we may create a unique user ID number to track your use of our Service, which is stored in connection with your profile information.
An App may require you to create an account or profile within the Service in which you may be required to provide the following information: your age or birthday (for age screening and/or to better understand our users); your e-mail address; a password and other information that helps us confirm that it is you accessing your account.
You may be able to create a user profile that is visible to other App users. Your user profile may include: a profile image; one or more game username(s); and a user ID number that is created by us and used to identify your profile.
Facebook Connect, Game Center and Google+
In addition to being able to log into an App directly through the creation of an account or profile within the Service, you may also be able to log into a game using sign-in services (“SN Service”) such as Facebook Connect, Apple’s Game Center, Google+ or an Open ID provider. These services will authenticate your identity and provide you the option to share certain personal information with us such as your name, email address, and other information. Services like Facebook Connect give you the option to post information about your activities to your Facebook profile page to share with others within your network.
We may collect and record information through the SN Service in accordance with the policies and terms of that SN Service. The information we collect when you connect your user account to an SN Service may include: (1) your name, (2) your SN Service user identification number and/or user name, (3) locale, city, state and country, (4) sex, (5) birth date, (6) email address, (7) profile picture or its URL, and (8) the SN Service user identification numbers for your friends that are also connected to the Company’s game(s).
Invite a Friend
You may be able to invite your contacts from a SN Service (such as your Facebook friends) to join you in the Company’s games. We may use the contact information of such contacts for the purpose of sending communications to the addressee.
When you ask for assistance from our Customer Support team, we may collect and store the contact information you provide (generally your name and e-mail address), information about your game play or activity on the Service, and your username or user ID number. We may also store the correspondence and any information contained within.
We may send push notifications to your mobile device to provide game updates and other relevant messages. You can turn off these push notifications at the device level through your settings.
Game Data Collection
Whenever you play our games, we may collect data about all of your interactions with the game and with the other players inside the game via server log files.
We may also acquire information from you through (1) your access and participation in message boards on the Service, (2) your participation in surveys regarding the Service or (3) your participation in a sweepstakes or contest through the Service.
We may offer you the option to participate in a sweepstakes or contests through the Service. If you choose to participate, we will request certain personal information from you. The requested information typically includes contact information (such as name and address), and certain demographic information (such as zip code). We primarily use this information to notify winners and award prizes, to monitor traffic or customize the Service.
A cookie is a small text file that we may transfer to your computer and/or device, to identify your computer/device and to “remember” things about your visit, such as your preferences or a user name and password. Information contained in a cookie may be linked to your personal information, such as your user ID number, for purposes such as improving the Service and making the Service easier to use. You can disable cookies at any time, although if you do you may not be able to access or use features of the Service.
We may also employ other technologies including (i) web beacons, which allow us to know if a certain page was visited or whether an e-mail was opened; (ii) tracking pixels, which allow us to advertise more efficiently by excluding our current users from certain promotional messages, identifying the source of a new installation or delivering ads to you on other websites; and (iii) local shared objects also known as flash cookies, which help us to prevent fraud, remember your in-game preferences and speed up load times.
We use mobile analytics software to allow us to better understand the functionality of our mobile software on your device. This software may record information such as how often you use an App, the events that occur within the App, aggregated usage, performance data, and where the App was downloaded from. We do not link the information we store within the analytics software to any personal information you submit within the App.
Third Party Services
We may provide your information to third party companies to perform services on our behalf, including payment processing, data analysis, e-mail delivery, hosting services, customer service and marketing services.
We may feature advertising within our Service. We do not actively share personal information with third party advertisers for their direct marketing purposes unless you give us your consent. We may share (i) aggregated information (information about you and other users collectively, but not personally identifiable to you); (ii) anonymous information; and (iii) certain technical information (including IP addresses, MAC addresses for mobile devices and mobile device IDs) to develop and deliver targeted advertising in the Service and on the websites of third parties. We may also allow advertisers to collect these types of information within the Service and they may share it with us. Advertisers may collect this information through the use of tracking technologies like browser cookies and web beacons. The information collected may be used to offer you targeted ad-selection and delivery in order to personalize your user experience by delivering advertisements for products and services that may be of interest to you, and to undertake web analytics (i.e. to analyze traffic and other end user activity to improve your experience).
In addition, you may see our games advertised in other services. After clicking on one of these advertisements and installing an App, you will become a user of our Service. In order to verify the installs, a device identifier may be shared with the advertiser.
We may display an “offer wall” in an App that is hosted by an offer wall provider. The offer wall allows advertisers to provide virtual currency to users in exchange for interacting with an advertisement. These are not offers made by the Company. These offers may be displayed to you based on certain technical information, such as your geographic area or anonymous demographic information. After clicking on one of these advertisements, you will be redirected to a site that is not hosted by the Company. To properly credit user accounts and to prevent fraud, a unique identifier, will be shared with the offer wall provider.
